Art of the Golden Ratio
Art of the Golden Ratio by Abrazol Publishing
English | July 22, 2015 | ISBN: 1887187308 | 398 pages | EPUB | 7.45 Mb
Mathematics is full of mystery and beauty. Few mathematicians would disagree with that. Most people would agree with the mystery part but not the beauty. There is however one mathematical object that has often been associated with beauty and aesthetics, at least by artists. That object is an irrational number called the golden ratio. It is believed by some that a piece of art that exhibits this ratio in some way is more aesthetically pleasing. In a painting this could be as simple as making the ratio of the width to height equal to the golden ratio. In architecture it could mean making the dimensions of a room agree with the golden ratio. Whether these beliefs are true or not, is not for us to say. What we have found, and what this book is about, is the fact that the golden ratio does indeed encode many intricate patterns that can be turned into interesting drawings. We have collected 360 of these drawings together in this book. This is an art book meant to stimulate your creativity and imagination. There is no mathematics required. We have included two appendices that contain a very short explanation of some of the mathematics behind the golden ratio and how the images are created. More detailed information on how to create the images can be found in our book: Pattern Generation for Computational Art.

Women. What woman wouldn't want to reveal her beauty, show her charm by being treated like a princess? What woman would not want to forget, for a half-day photo shoot, her daily duties and worries? This is what I think when I have the chance and the responsibility to have a Portrait photo session with a woman.I love woman because they give me the possibility to take care of them and create a space and time where their beauty may spread and flourish. Most of the women I take shots to I have never seen before. So I study their photos and start to imagine the right location, gesture, accessories and dress.Recently I started to create with my hands, for every single woman I have to portray, a new dress.Mostly made with...nothing. Crape paper, small pieces of cloth, newspapers...Love the magic that happens when they see their beauty glorified by dress, light, location, poses and dialogue.Trust and dialogue are the key to understand, appreciate their diversity and make their beauty ..happen.What will you find in this book?-Photos of normal girls ,women, most of them are NOT models, that I contacted for a shooting session.-Simplicity at work. It does not take that much to let a woman beauty flow in the air-Glances that every lucky man would like to have the chance to meet-Silence. When beauty happens every word is too much. The Portraits in this book are the gifts all the woman gave me, when they agreed to have a photographic session with me.And I want to give back these gifts in 130 photos for your eyes.Buy this book. It's your way to help Beauty spread and take with you those moments of precious time and FineArt Photography. It's the chance you have to look streight in the eye the beauty and the charm of silent, warm feminine glory.Have a good look through...

Art Models 6 The Female Figure in Shadow and Light
Art Models 6: The Female Figure in Shadow and Light by Maureen Johnson
English | September 1, 2011 | ISBN: 0981624979 | 128 pages | PDF | 14 Mb
Whether trying a new technique, getting in some practice time, or working on a finished piece, this figure study enables artists to work when and where they want with their choice of model and pose. This book in the series will help artists become proficient in incorporating chiaroscuro or light and dark lighting-a technique used by the great masters to produce drama and depth in their paintings-to define the human form. The book incorporates a new layout featuring two primary views per pose as well as close-up faces. With the book, artists can study 95 poses in strong unidirectional lighting and observe the female form through more than 200 photos. Varieties of body types-ranging from thin to plus-size-and ethnicities are included. Poses have been carefully chosen to illustrate important effects such as foreshortening and perspective changes. With this guide, artists can achieve longer drawing sessions than they could when drawing from a model directly. A judicious amount of photo retouching is done-not to make the models more glamorous or plastic but to remove distractions that detract from the models' essence.
