Description
The training introduces the topic of criminal profiling of unknown perpetrators. It defines the issue and presents the possibilities of using the criminal profiling method as a tool used in criminal investigations. The sections are divided thematically, thanks to which the training itself gains clarity as well as understanding and ease of remembering the presented content. The criminal profiling of unknown perpetrators course discusses cases and events that directly contributed to the development of criminal profiling. The training presents classic profiling, also known as FBI profiling. Each of the individual stages is thoroughly discussed with comments and practical tips. The criminal profiling course also includes a detailed description of the dichotomous division of crime perpetrators into organized and unorganized perpetrators. The division itself and the research that underpinned it became the cornerstone of criminal profiling using the FBI method. The training ends with a discussion of a real case, thanks to which the person participating in the course will have the opportunity to observe how the criminal profiling process works in practice. All content presented in the training has its sources in scientific works, research and publications regarding, among others, criminology, criminalistics and forensic psychology. The inspiration to create the training was the real method used by people dealing with high-profile investigations. Each section contains downloadable content. The content includes transcripts of a given module and, depending on the section, a supplement or additional commentary to the presented video content.
