This course is for beginning students who want to learn basic perspective techniques.
This class is for beginners.
- Students will learn basic perspective drawing skills.
- Students will learn about the horizon line and vanishing point.
- Students will learn how to create boxes in 1 and 2 point perspective. Some boxes will be over the horizon line. Some boxes will be under the horizon line. Some boxes will be on top of the horizon line.
- Students will draw objects in some of the boxes.
- Students will learn how to create 3 point perspective buildings looking up. The buildings will be over the horizon line.
- Students will learn how to create 3 point perspective buildings looking down. These buildings will be under the horizon line, so you can see the top.
- Students will learn how to use the fencepost method to create the distance between things that are equally spaced in perspective.
- Students will learn to create a grid in 1 point perspective and 2 point perspective. These grids can be used to create floors, windows or bricks on buildings.
- Students will then create a finished drawing in one point perspective.
- Students will create a finished drawing in 2 point perspective with atmospheric perspective.
- Students will need multiple pieces of white paper, drawing pencils, a ruler, and a darker pencil (black colored pencil), or marker.
