Description
Did you know that most words in English are borrowed (or stolen) from other languages like Greek, Latin and French?
This doesn't just mean that some words look and sound similar to some foreign words (like connoisseur and ennui) but that the very idea or concept translates directly in small packets called roots. For example, the root "congn" comes from "cognos" meaning to 'know' - with this knowledge, the meanings of words such as 'recognise', 'cognition' and 'incognito' become quite easy to relate to. This helps you catalogue tough words into neat patterns, learn them contextually and recall them every single time. You will see numerous examples such as these and learn words through the process.

The Advanced Vocabulary course covers over 400 high-impact advanced level English words. The course is designed to make learning words interesting and impactful through themes, root words, connotations and contexts of use.
