Please note that this course does not delve into explanation of other types of offshore structures such as TLPs, Concrete Gravity structures, FPSO's etc. It's main focus is on presneting and explaing Fixed Offshore Platforms most of which are not used in Deep Water applications. However, in coming weeks we will be adding more content on topics such as Bridge structures, Flare structures. Concepts of topsides eeering etc. FEED, Impact / collision calculations, Vortex Induced Vibrations, Pile Capacity calculations etc.
The coursework tries to focus more on visual clues through illustrations and diagrams to help your understanding and does not go very deep into mathematical formulations.
