Vivo is a 2021 American computer-animated musical comedy film produced by Sony Pictures Animation. The film is directed by Kirk Dco and co-directed by Brandon Jeffords, from a screenplay by Dco and Quiara Alegría Hudes, and a story that was based on the original idea by Peter Barsocchini, with songs written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who voices the title character in the cast that also features the voices of Ynairaly Simo, Zoe Saldana, Juan de Marcos González, Michael Rooker, Brian Tyree Henry, Nicole Byer, and Gloria Estefan. The film marks Sony Pictures Animation's first musical film.

The film was first pitched to DreamWorks Animation in 2010 by Miranda but was canceled due to the restructuring at the company in 2015. It was later revived and fast-tracked by Sony Pictures Animation on December 14, 2016.

Vivo was released in select theatres on July 30, 2021, and is scheduled for a digital release on Netflix on August 6, 2021. The film received positive reviews from critics, who praised the animation and musical numbers.

Alex Lacamoire (born May 24, 1975) is an American composer, arranger, conductor, musical director, music copyist, and orchestrator who has worked on many shows both on and off-Broadway. He is the recipient of multiple Tony and Grammy Awards for his work on shows such as In the Heights (2008), Hamilton (2016), and Dear Evan Hansen (2017). Lacamoire was awarded the Kennedy Center Honor in 2018.

Lin-Manuel Miranda is an American actor, singer, songwriter, rapper, producer, and playwright. He created and starred in the Broadway musicals In the Heights and Hamilton. His awards include a Pulitzer Prize, two Laurence Olivier Awards, three Tony Awards, three Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award, a MacArthur Fellowship, and a Kennedy Center Honor in 2018.
