I have always used SpectraFooComplete on Mac system since I was using protools on MacOs 9. In 2010 Team XVX provided a SpectraFoo keygen for the most updated versions of OS X, versions that used the new Apple audio core. Unfortunately from Mavericks onwards, the XVX authorization procedure stopped working, so I decided to find a workaround to be able to not give up one of the best audio analysis software on the Mac platform. You know, Metric Halo needs no introduction for the high quality of its sound cards as well as the software that attaches to them. Just think of its timeless and very precious ChannelStrip and how it's still ahead in terms of musicality and quality of the algorithm. SpectraFooComplete is not a software aimed at the general consumer audience but rather to sound engineers and commercial studios, and it's clear from the price that has always been quite high in its history. And it's just because it's not affordable that I'm happy to have tried and found this work-around that allows us to test it again on the latest OS.
I have tested the whole procedure on different systems, though up to High Sierra 10.13 6. So I don't guarantee its functionality on more later OS. But I think it can work at least up to Catalina. Nothing prohibits you to try also on Big Sur.
By the way I remind Mac users that they should always be informed about the structure and the tree of their operating system as well as about permissions repair procedures, Gatekeeper, Codesigner. (I have provided some instructions in a text file in the release).
