There are many reasons why a manager or owner feels reluctant to delegate.

Delegation is the process of granting authority. In simple words, delegation is the assignment of any responsibility or authority to another person.

Delegation helps managers to free up their time from routine and concentrate on other tasks that will lead to their promotion or success. However, managers still do not feel confident at delegating. Perhaps due to their lack of delegation skill or they feel a need in controlling things. Whatever the reason, the skill should be learned and improved upon.
