The focus in this book is on three specific types of injury prohibited under internationalhuman rights law: torture, arbitrary death and genocide. Further distinctions are madebetween four temporal phases (long-term prevention, short-term prevention, preventingcontinuation, preventing recurrence) and territorial and extraterritorial obligations.
