Analytical Corporate Valuation Fundamental Analysis, Asset Pricing, and Company Valuation
Free Download Analytical Corporate Valuation: Fundamental Analysis, Asset Pricing, and Company Valuation by Pasquale De Luca
English | EPUB (True) | 2018 | 470 Pages | ISBN : 331993550X | 18.2 MB
This book integrates the models employed in the fundamental analysis of a company with the models used by investors in the capital markets to diversify risks and maximize expected returns. The underlying thesis is that the company creates value only if the return on capital invested exceeds the cost of capital, while the objective is to demonstrate how integration of the fields of corporate finance and asset pricing enables comprehensive and accurate company valuation.

Free Download Analysis of Power System Sub/Super-Synchronous Oscillations Caused by Grid-Connected Wind Power Generation by Wenjuan Du , Haifeng Wang
English | PDF EPUB (True) | 2023 (2024 Edition) | 349 Pages | ISBN : 3031353420 | 60.5 MB
This book provides a systematic introduction to power system sub/super-synchronous oscillations caused by grid-connected wind power generation. The authors look at why oscillations occur and present methods for examining the risk of oscillations. Coverage includes state-space model based analysis and impedance model based analysis, which are the two main methods for examining the power system sub/super-synchronous oscillations. In addition, new methods for examining oscillations in wind farms are proposed.

This edited volume is a collection of selected research articles discussing the analysis of infectious diseases by using mathematical modelling in recent times. Divided into two parts, the book gives a general and country-wise analysis of Covid-19. Analytical and numerical techniques for virus models are presented along with the application of mathematical modelling in the analysis of their spreading rates and treatments. The book also includes applications of fractional differential equations as well as ordinary, partial and integrodifferential equations with optimization methods. Probability distribution and their bio-mathematical applications have also been studied. This book is a valuable resource for researchers, scholars, biomathematicians and medical experts.

Analysis in Banach Spaces Volume III Harmonic Analysis and Spectral Theory
Free Download Analysis in Banach Spaces: Volume III: Harmonic Analysis and Spectral Theory by Tuomas Hytönen , Jan van Neerven , Mark Veraar , Lutz Weis
English | PDF (True) | 2023 | 839 Pages | ISBN : 3031465970 | 15.2 MB
This third volume of Analysis in Banach Spaces offers a systematic treatment of Banach space-valued singular integrals, Fourier transforms, and function spaces. It further develops and ramifies the theory of functional calculus from Volume II and describes applications of these new notions and tools to the problem of maximal regularity of evolution equations. The exposition provides a unified treatment of a large body of results, much of which has previously only been available in the form of research papers. Some of the more classical topics are presented in a novel way using modern techniques amenable to a vector-valued treatment. Thanks to its accessible style with complete and detailed proofs, this book will be an invaluable reference for researchers interested in functional analysis, harmonic analysis, and the operator-theoretic approach to deterministic and stochastic evolution equations.

An Ironic Approach to the Absolute Schlegel's Poetic Mysticism
Free Download Karolin Mirzakhan, "An Ironic Approach to the Absolute: Schlegel's Poetic Mysticism"
English | ISBN: 1498578918 | 2020 | 140 pages | EPUB, PDF | 2 MB + 3 MB
An Ironic Approach to the Absolute: Schlegel's Poetic Mysticism brings Friedrich Schlegel's ironic fragments in dialogue with the Dao De Jing and John Ashbery's Flow Chart to argue that poetic texts offer an intuition of the whole because they resist the reader's desire to comprehend them fully. Karolin Mirzakhan argues that although Schlegel's ironic fragments proclaim their incompleteness in both their form and their content, they are the primary means for facilitating an intuition of the Absolute. Focusing on the techniques by which texts remain open, empty, or ungraspable, Mirzakhan's analysis uncovers the methods that authors use to cultivate the agility of mind necessary for their readers to intuit the Absolute. Mirzakhan develops the term "poetic mysticism" to describe the experience of the Absolute made possible by particular textual moments, examining the Dao De Jing and Flow Chart to provide an original account of the striving to know the Absolute that is non-linear, non-totalizing, and attuned to non-presence. This conversation with ancient and contemporary poetic texts enacts the romantic imperative to join philosophy with poetry and advances a clearer communication of the notion of the Absolute that emerges from Schlegel's romantic philosophy.

An Introduction to Stochastic Processes and Their Applications
Free Download An Introduction to Stochastic Processes and Their Applications by Petar Todorovic
English | PDF | 1992 | 302 Pages | ISBN : 1461397448 | 32.6 MB
This text on stochastic processes and their applications is based on a set of lectures given during the past several years at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). It is an introductory graduate course designed for classroom purposes. Its objective is to provide graduate students of statistics with an overview of some basic methods and techniques in the theory of stochastic processes. The only prerequisites are some rudiments of measure and integration theory and an intermediate course in probability theory. There are more than 50 examples and applications and 243 problems and complements which appear at the end of each chapter. The book consists of 10 chapters. Basic concepts and definitions are pro vided in Chapter 1. This chapter also contains a number of motivating ex amples and applications illustrating the practical use of the concepts. The last five sections are devoted to topics such as separability, continuity, and measurability of random processes, which are discussed in some detail. The concept of a simple point process on R+ is introduced in Chapter 2. Using the coupling inequality and Le Cam's lemma, it is shown that if its counting function is stochastically continuous and has independent increments, the point process is Poisson. When the counting function is Markovian, the sequence of arrival times is also a Markov process. Some related topics such as independent thinning and marked point processes are also discussed. In the final section, an application of these results to flood modeling is presented.

An Introduction to Markov Processes Ed 2
Free Download Daniel W. Stroock, "An Introduction to Markov Processes Ed 2"
English | ISBN: 3642405223 | 2014 | 220 pages | EPUB | 3 MB
This book provides a rigorous but elementary introduction to the theory of Markov Processes on a countable state space. It should be accessible to students with a solid undergraduate background in mathematics, including students from engineering, economics, physics, and biology. Topics covered are: Doeblin's theory, general ergodic properties, and continuous time processes. Applications are dispersed throughout the book. In addition, a whole chapter is devoted to reversible processes and the use of their associated Dirichlet forms to estimate the rate of convergence to equilibrium. These results are then applied to the analysis of the Metropolis (a.k.a simulated annealing) algorithm.
