R-Drive Image is a very controversial tool for backing up information. Many users praise R-Drive Image for its reliability and lack of glitches compared to Acronis. No wonder, because the developers are the authors of the popular R-Studio. You can flexibly configure backups, including in automatic mode, restore partitions without rebooting (except for the system one), mount images as virtual disks. However, everything is not as good as it might seem at first glance: during the creation and testing of the assembly, I found significant disadvantages. Firstly, you cannot restore the system partition in a couple of clicks: the program will simply transfer you to its bootable version in English, where you will have to re-select the image and data to be restored. Should I say that Acronis or AOMEI restores automatically? Secondly, if your system boots in UEFI mode, then R-Drive Image won't even reboot you into recovery mode. That is, you must have a boot image ready on a USB flash drive or other drive in advance. Not very convenient, agree. I summarize: if your system disk has an MBR structure, or if you always have a USB resuscitator such as a boot disk from Sergey Strelec at hand, then you can use the program and periodically make backups.
