With influence from jazzy nostalgic origins and sample based beats, we created complex melodic cuts and original compositions to re-sample and process. We took familiar retro synth sounds, kalimbas, guitars, female vocal sessions, live instrumentation and synthetic sound design and experimented with lofi sampling and processing techniques including re-amping, bit-crushing, manual audio chopping and hardware emulations. 808 sub bass and dark, mellow chops add hints to newer rap and trap influences.

Explore a hand built, character driven drum kit of one shots and loops. Re-sampled live and machine based hits include thudding kicks, soft serve snares and crunchy claps, crumbling percussion and dusty hi-hats. Fully soaked in saturation, dirt and low-res sparkle. Loops include heavily swung beats, unquantized phrases and glitchy percussive foley rhythms.

Once again capturing the reassuring vibe and feel of the lofi scene and aesthetic. 24/7 chilled youtube streams, beats to study to and sampler based solace. Created in collaboration with lofi hip hop artist and beat composer Marc aka misc.inc. From his studio in Dresden, Germany he combines soulful chords with organic sound design and rhythmic boom bap grooves to create stories and feelings.
